Panasonic S Gh5 To Come With 20Mp Sensor And Shoot 6K Video

Japanese site Nikkan is reporting that the Fuji GH5 is to come with 6K video. If true, this is very exciting and completely ridiculous. We’re only just getting used to 4K, and even most of that is being downsampled to 1080p. So, why might one need a 6K camera? Well, as more and more 4K TVs get into the homes of the general public, we’re eventually going to need to deliver 4K content....

Penguin Hitches A Ride With A Boat Full Of Wildlife Photographers To Escape A Hungry Seal

A group of wildlife photographers unintentionally became a water taxi for a penguin whilst visiting the Antarctic. The penguin allegedly hopped into their boat to escape a marauding leopard seal, giving them all a close-up wildlife experience. Russian wildlife photographer Vladimir Seliverstov captured the event unfolding from his position in the boat. The Adelie penguin can be seen sitting on the bow of the boat, looking a little as if it’s stuck between rock and a hard place....

It has some new custom image modes and features the special edition Kyushu and Katen Custom Image modes (with supported lenses)....

Pentax Reveals Some Details About Their New Flagship Aps C Dslr

It’s the second part of a series by Pentax (Part 1 is lower down in this post) to “reinforce its commitment to DSLR photography“. It might seem a little mad to cling onto DSLRs when the rest of the world is going mirrorless, but it seems that Pentax might be looking to capture the segment of the market that just doesn’t want to ditch the mirror....

Photographer Creates Surreal Moody Art With Only Stock Photos

Recently I got involved in the old debate on using stock images in personal art. The outrage of not taking the images in a composite yourself. This is a debate that will probably still be going until the end of time. My stance is that art is art. It’s not how you create it that matters, but the end product. This is why today I am featuring an artist who creates his art purely with stock images....

Coronavirus has had a huge effect on, not to mention been frightening, everyone, from “common folks” to huge companies like Sony. “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” If only I got a dollar for every time I heard or read this. But is it really like that? Photographers This Is Why You Should Stop Comparing Yourself To Others

As photographers, I believe all of us frequently look at other people’s work in order to admire it, to learn, and draw inspiration from it. In this video, Manny Ortiz discusses why we should stop comparing our work to other photographers’, and suggests what to do instead. Photographers Get Exploited Because They Love Their Job Study Finds

I don’t think there’s a photographer anywhere in the world who hasn’t been asked to work for a miserable sum, or even for free, ‘for the exposure’. According to recent research, there’s a reason why photographers and other artists are often exploited. The answer lies in your passion for photography. In other words: if you love your job, you are more likely to get lowballed.Advertisements In their paper, researchers from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business have explored “passionate exploitation....

Photography S Cool Kids Are Leaving Instagram Is Vero The Best Alternative

It’s inevitable that Instagram will no longer be the main place new creatives share their work. Some of you, like me, may think we’re already there, especially given some of the recent decisions made towards a very heavy-handed push towards video and a very open move away from stills. But regardless of the choices made by IG, no matter what they did or do, IG will inevitably fall off as the cool place to share your work and the core reason for this is time....
