She spoke to a Starbucks employee who didn’t ask the man to leave, so she reported the man to the police and sparked an investigation. When the woman noticed that the man was taking photos, she first reported it to the employee. However, the barista reportedly told her that the man had been there all week and that they couldn’t ask him to leave....

When we hear about “probes” flying around space, we probably think of something fairly small. We’ve all heard them on sci-fi TV shows. “Sent out a probe”, and off flies a little drone-like object. Well, not NASA’s Juno probe. This thing is as big as a basketball court. Launched in 2011, the probe took five years to reach and then settle into orbit around Jupiter, 415 million miles away. Juno orbits in an extremely wide arc, resulting in a brief fly-by of the gas giant every couple of months....
NASA’s OSIRIS-Rex probe, which is currently orbiting around the asteroid 101955 Bennu, has transmitted the photo taken from only 0.4 miles away. NASA has recently published the stunning image, which is the closest shot of the asteroid yet. OSIRIS-REx was launched in 2016 and it arrived at Bennu in December 2018. It has already sent interesting images before, such as this photo of the Earth, the Moon, and Bennu. The most recent image of asteroid Bennu was shot on 13 June 2019....
The US Patent & Trademark Office has published a patent application from Apple that details a submersible iPhone capable at taking pictures down to a depth of 90-140 feet of water. They’re not just looking at making the iPhone more waterproof, though. They actually want it to overcome the visual issues of shooting at such a depth to actually produce decent images. Underwater photography isn’t a new idea. It’s been around for decades and there are a number of compact cameras out there today for getting relatively decent shots underwater quite easily....

Another leaked photo of the Sony FX3 has popped up on Twitter. And this one might go some way towards explaining why the Sony A1 doesn’t have a flippy out LCD when the Sony A7S III does. It seems that Sony might not have wanted cannibalise sales of their upcoming FX3 – largely rumoured to have otherwise similar specs to the A1. The newly leaked photo shows the FX3 from behind with what is obviously a sideways hinge, allowing you to flippy the LCD around to the front, offering much more articulated viewing options than the standard tilt screen of the Sony A1....

DxO has just released the Nik Collection 2, the new and improved suite of plugins for Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, and Photoshop Elements. Nikon recently announced that the Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II will get the ability to record both Blackmagic RAW and ProRes RAW to the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G models and Atomos Ninja V respectively.
