It’s been a couple of years since Canon announced a 120MP camera sensor. Now they have released a video which demonstrates how powerful this sensor is. In this video, you can see the comparison between the footage in full HD and 60 times higher resolution of the new Canon’s sensor. Canon explains that movie shooting is possible with approximately 60 times higher resolution than full HD, and the image size is 13,280 x 9,184 px....

Chirodectes maculatus is a jellyfish species that’s seen super-rarely. And I really mean super-rarely: it has only been documented twice so far. So, when this incredible creature was captured on camera, it was quite exciting. A diver managed to film it off the coast of Papua New Guinea, and the video is as spectacular as the jellyfish itself. This jellyfish is a part of the box jellyfish family. While most of them are venomous, even deadly to humans, this particular one isn’t harmful....

Shared as part of its GoPro Awards, the launch depicted in the video is that of SpaceLoft–10, a 20-foot tall rocket launched by UP Aerospace from Spaceport America in New Mexico....

Some couples want a nice low key wedding. Others, however, want it to be somewhat extravagant. But sometimes that extravagance comes at a cost. In the case of one couple, pyrotechnics during the happy couple’s first dance caused the venue to go up in flames. It starts off as many first dances do. I think I’m going to stop listening to anybody who says that hard drives are dead and SSD is the only future of storage. Don’t get me wrong, I love SSDs. They’re fantastic for when you need really rapid access to data. They’re great as a system drive for your operating system and software. Fujifilm seemed to really kick off the trend for pretty major firmware updates to their existing models, regularly breathing new life into old bodies ever year or two. In 1976 while rummaging through an attic of Harvard’s Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology in search of old museum publications, editorial assistant Lorna Condon opened a drawer in a wooden cabinet. Inside, she found a number of flat leather cases which contained a series of daguerreotypes of partially and fully nude Black people. In the last couple of weeks my little brand, 3 Legged Thing, launched a brand new Universal L Bracket – the QR11. For the most part, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Then, somebody sent me a link to a well known forum, where a conversation had started about the press release for the QR11. A couple of years ago, I made a post about why I could no longer recommend Yongnuo to flash newcomers over Godox. In short, their systems were just too fragmented, with one piece of kit often not being compatible with another, despite both bearing the same brand. Insta360 has posted a massive feature update today for the Insta360 ONE R. It expands the camera’s capabilities with several new features to offer new shooting modes, speed up your workflow and improve image quality and colour. The Zeiss Batis range of lenses for Sony have proven to be extremely popular, especially as Sony has been slacking on producing their own until recently. With the new native Sony FE mount Sigma lenses on the way, though, that may change. Sigma will have quite a few more lenses, and Zeiss still has a couple of holes in its lineup. I don’t remember that a sunset photo has ever caused such a stir like it did earlier this month. The photo bricked phones of hundreds, if not thousands Android users who used it as a wallpaper. But it wasn’t done on purpose. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Scientist and photographer Gaurav Agrawal just wanted to capture a gorgeous last minute sunset.
