The Calming Effect Of Landscape And Nature Photography Print Your Images

The study of natural history reveals that palaeolithic humans steadily evolved over millions of years as hunter-gatherers, grouped in small, tribal societies. They refined harmonious relationships with their environment, gathering plants, fishing, and hunting wild animals. Anatomically, modern humans are much the same as our ancient ancestors. Our bodies remain designed to move with endurance, speed, strength, and precision of movement over the landscape, much as we were before towns, farming and domestication of animals began to develop 5,000-10,000 years ago....

The Dronut Is A Weird Cylindrical Drone That Looks Like It Should Be Firing Lasers At Jedi In Training

Drones have become such commonplace things these days that almost all of us either own one or know somebody who does. Most of them have a fairly common form factor. Four or six arms with four or six motors, each with a propeller on top. This one, though, looks like something right out of a Jedi training camp. This curious-looking drone from Boston-based Cleo Robotics is called the Dronut and it’s the worlds first bi-rotor ducted fan drone....

Hot on the heels of Canon’s recent Canon RF Mount lens rumours are image and spec leaks for a new Canon EOS RP full frame mirrorless camera. Published by Nokishita, the images show a body that seems significantly smaller than the existing Canon EOS R, suggesting that it won’t be the super high-resolution pro body that many have been expecting. The Moza Slypod Is The Craziest Looking Camera Slider You Ever Saw

At NAB 2019, Gudsen announced the new Moza Slypod. It’s a kind of slider/monopod hybrid that looks pretty weird but is also very cool. When we saw it, we were intrigued, so we went to have a chat with them about the Slypod to find out more about how it worked and what it can do. The Moza Slypod is primarily constructed from a pair of carbon fibre tubes. One sits inside the other, which is then pushed in and out through the use of a motor....

As are the cameras with which we create them. We saw it recently with the announcement of the Kandao QooCam. Now the new 5.7K Vuze XR by HumanEyes also combines both 360° and 180° 3D content creation into a single unit....

The Nude Blogger Scores A Point Against Instagram And Social Media Censorship

We all know how important social media platforms are these days for promotion our brand. In the case of Australian blogger, Jessa O’Brien, (a.k.a. thenudeblogger), that platform is Instagram. With over 43,000 followers, it’s certainly helping her to get her blog out in front of an audience. But she hit a snag when Instagram shut down her account. Instagram parent, Facebook, has a fairly strict “no nudity” policy. So, it wasn’t really all that much of a surprise....

The Olympic Tennis Court Is A Giant Green Screen And The Internet Has Noticed

It’s always amusing when something shown on TV includes something ripe for chroma keying. This time around, it’s the Rio 2016 men’s singles tennis final between Andy Murray and Juan Martin Del Potro. That they were playing on a giant green screen was noticed by imgur user factionman. After this, the obvious became inevitable. I would imagine these scenarios probably weren’t going through the players’ heads at the time of the game....

The Weirdest Macro Lens Laowa 24Mm F 14 2 1 Underwater Field Test

Back in June, I was given the opportunity to test the new crazy lens by Laowa – the Laowa 24mm f/14 2:1 Relay Lens. It measures about 40cm in length and looks more like an endoscope rather than a traditional lens. While such relay lens designs are not entirely new with a few other examples in underwater macro photography, there are rarely any readily available options for terrestrial macro photography....
