Drone Crashes In The Audience During Major League Baseball Game

This Sunday, a drone crash landed in the audience during a Major League baseball game. Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres played a game at Petco, when someone decided to fly a drone above the stadium. The aircraft hovered above the venue, and eventually ended up in the audience. It smashed against an empty seat, nearly hurting one of the spectators. I’m surprised by the lucky coincidence of the drone crashing into the empty seat between two people....

Dxomark Tests Show Problems With Samsung S20 Ultra Cameras That Software Updates Won T Fix

DxOMark recently tested the cameras in the new Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Overall it did quite well, scoring 122, although they uncovered some fatal flaws that Samsung likely won’t be able to fix with mere software updates. They say it has the worst low-light autofocus performance of its competitors and the “100x Space Zoom” ability shows poor performance and detail. The S20 Ultra already suffered from some “serious focusing” issues on its initial release that Samsung promised to fix, but was unable to offer up a timeline for....

First A7Siii Specs Leak Suggests 4K60P Hdr Video

Ever since Sony announced the Sony A9, people have been quite vocal about their wishlists for A7 series replacements. We’ve seen two of those appear, already. The A7R III with its massive 42.4 megapixel resolution, and the insane (for its price) Sony A7 III, with fantastic low light performance and crazy fast autofocus. But not much has been said about the Sony A7S III. People have been asking for it, and they know what they want to see in it, too....

The Yi 4K action camera has been out for a while now and reviews are starting to reel in. We seen quite a few of them (and we will have one of our own soon), but this one review got us thinking that the YI 4K is indeed a gopro killer. Focal Goes Mobile With Their New Iphone And Android App For Lens Autofocus Calibration Anywhere

The shift to mirrorless has largely helped to eliminate one of the biggest issues of DSLRs; Focus calibration. And although mirrorless is now selling at a higher rate than DSLRs, there are still a lot of them out there. For example, even though I bought half a dozen Panasonic mirrorless cameras for video a couple of years ago, I still have 14 or so Nikon DSLRs. Every time I get a new autofocus lens, I need to calibrate it to each body I plan to use it with....

Fujifilm S X T2 Now Records 4K F Log Internally And Shoots Up To 120Fps

When Fuji announced the then-new X-T2 back in July 2016, it got Fuji shooters very excited, especially the ones interested in video. Fuji now has a 4K video-capable camera in their lineup. They’ve since gone on to add 4K to the X-Pro2 and released the new X-H1, but they haven’t given up on the X-T2 just yet. Only a month after release, would-be X-T2 owners were complaining that they could only shoot 4K F-Log if they were using an external recorder and not internally....

Godox Announce Sony Ttl And Mark 2 For V850 V860 And Qt600 Studio Strobe

With all the gear announcements lately, it’s easy to miss a relatively small name like Godox, but they’ve just announced some updates to their popular Lithium-ion powered range of flash units, and their QT600 studio strobes. The big news here is that Godox have also added Sony TTL to the Godox X series of 2.4Ghz radio triggers and radio enabled flash units. Aside from the fact that Sony users can now utilise TTL with a Godox flash system, the Mark II flash updates all include the X series radio system built inside the unit....

Godox Makes The Ring Flash Portable Again With The New Godox R200

Well, this is interesting. It looks like Godox has finally figured out what they want to do as a Godox AR400 ring flash replacement. And it turns out, it’s an addon head for the Godox AD200 and AD200Pro strobes. It’s the Godox R200 ring flash and as mentioned, it’s a head designed specifically to connect to the AD200 and AD200Pro strobes, rather than an entire unit in itself. While releasing it as an AD200 addon and not a complete unit in itself like the AR400 might not seem like the best idea, it does offer some distinct advantages over an all-in-one system....

Godox Vs Godox How The Fv150 Led Flash Compares To Regular Speedlights And Strobes

LED flash has had a bit of a bumpy start the last couple of years. A number of products have come out, but they’ve not been very good. At IBC in September, Godox showed off their new FV150 LED light which features a built-in LED flash function. Rob Hall has had his hands on one and while this isn’t really a review, it’s an interesting discussion on the topic of LED flash and how they compare to more traditional strobes or speedlights....

Google Ai Will Stop Assuming Your Gender And Won T Tag You As Man Or Woman In Photos

Google’s AI labels what it sees in your photos, and sometimes it doesn’t really do the best job. Now Google has announced some changes and its Cloud Vision API tool is going gender-neutral. Instead of labeling people in photos as “man” or “woman,” the tool will now play it safe and label them simply as “person.” Business Insider obtained a recent email reportedly sent to Google developers. It reads that the company’s AI tool shall no longer use “gendered labels” to tag images....
