Introduced last year, Kodak Ektachrome 35mm is based on the old Kodak Ektachrome E100G E6 slide film that was made up until 2012. A lot of people were eager to check out the newly produced rolls, and when it was announced at the beginning of this year that it would be coming in 120 roll medium format, as well, a lot of people got very excited. Now, Kodak has posted a status update via Instagram saying that they will be running a “coating trial” of the medium format version in “late July”....

Whenever I buy a new lens, I have to calibrate it and AF fine tune five different DSLRs. Two are my primary stills shooters, and three are for video. Sony has announced a long-awaited addition to its G Master series of full-frame E-mount lenses. The Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 G Master is a full-frame, fast telephoto prime lens, and judging from sample photos – portrait photographers will love it thanks to its sharpness and creamy bokeh. After announcing the delay of DL-series, it appears that Nikon won’t be launching it at all. The company has decided to cancel all three cameras from the DL-series of premium compact cameras. As they announced, the reason is “concerns regarding their profitability.” It appears that several factors affect the production of this line, and despite the wait – the users won’t get to buy them after all. Nikon has today officially announced the new Nikon D6 flagship DSLR. Well, they’ve announced the development of it, anyway. That’s pretty much all they’ve announced, though. There are no specs or details available other than the name and that it’ll be an FX-format full-frame DSLR. But what’s possibly even more interesting is that they’ve also announced a new long f/2.8 zoom lens aimed at sports photographers, too. The AF-S Nikkor 120-300mm f/2....

Price increases seem to have become standard across the board from everybody lately, with companies still trying to recover from global silicon shortages as well as logistics and other supply chain issues due to the pandemic. Back in April, Nikon announced a price increase across most of the world – in fact, pretty much all of it except the USA – but now it’s caught up to America, too. In a statement to DPReview, Nikon has confirmed that prices will be going up on a number of products starting on August 1st, 2022....

Nikon has announced that it will no longer offer an international warranty for its interchangeable lenses and accessories. This goes for both F-mount and Z-mount lenses, as well as mount adapters, speedlights, and other Nikon accessories you may have in your arsenal. One of the biggest pieces of D850 speculation floating around the Internet the last few days seems to be about the sensor. Specifically, who makes it. And no, it’s not Sony. Nikon have actually designed their own sensor for the D850, according to a Q&A session with Imaging Resource. Nikon also promise some pretty significant performance improvements. This isn’t the first time Nikon have developed their own sensor. Although, many of their past cameras have used Sony and a few Toshiba sensors....

It’s probably not that much of a surprise to most of us who actually use large storage drives but there seems to be a big trend lately, a whole flurry of drives popping up on sites like AliExpress and even Walmart claiming some pretty insane capacities at an even more insane price.
