Nisi Unveils A 5 To 9 Stops Variable Nd Filter

This filter features built-in hard stops at both end positions. Those stops should make it easier to determine your relative location when rotating the front ring. The filter provides better control over the amount of light that hits the sensor. Which in turn, allows for wider apertures and/or longer shutter speeds. Hopefully, this will make the filter useful to both photographers and videographers. The filter features an advanced nano-coating which, according to Nisi, will repel water, grease, and dirt and makes the filter easier to clean....

Canon Watch is reporting a “rumour” that the Canon EOS R3 have a price that is “below that of the Sony Alpha 1” and “maybe even less than $6,000”. The Canon EOS R3 is not going to be a flagship camera, so why would it come with a $6K (I’m rounding up) flagship price tag?...

The folks at 43Rumors certainly seem to think they are, and they say they’ve now received confirmation from a source that there’s a new Sony Micro Four Thirds sensor on the way in 2021 that will shoot 8K video and offer a resolution of “30+MP”....

Photographer Hannahbella Nel recently witnessed aurora borealis in Dartmoor, UK. Photographs Are Made With Light Not Sensors And Tech

Great light is what creates great images What makes a photograph is not the camera sensor, or the autofocus system, or the depth of field. Photographs are made with light. I’m as guilty as the next person when it comes to pixel peeping. I’ve gone through my share of acute episodes of G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome), but the specific gear you’re using is so much less important than whether you’re using good light....
