There have been rumours for a while now about a new ultra-high megapixel mirrorless Canon camera being released. It’s now looking highly likely that this will be the case, with a launch of a 100MP RF mount camera in the first half of 2023. At the moment it’s still conjecture, and no one knows which camera line it will be following. There’s speculation that it could be a mirrorless equivalent of the EOS 5DS or indeed it could be the much-anticipated successor to the EOS R, the R1....

There was a heated discussion caused by the entrance of cameras without a mirror into the market, also as known as “mirrorless” or “CSC”. This debate was fueled perhaps not so much by the absence of the mentioned mirror, as by the replacement of the essential optical viewfinder with the new and improved electronic viewfinder. It can’t be denied that this debate wouldn’t have been that controversial, if it were not for the traditional brands still holding tight to the mirror and the optical viewfinder, while the emergent, or minority brands, have embraced the electronic viewfinder and the “mirrorless” concept as a new standard with no way back....

A 38-year-old woman lost her life on Saturday 12 December when she fell at Boroka Lookout in Victoria, Australia. The tragedy occurred when she reportedly climbed the security fence to take a photo, slipped, and plunged 80 m (260 feet) to her death. Rosy Loomba was a mother of two from Craigieburn, Melbourne. This Saturday, she visited the Grampians National Park in Victoria with her husband and two children. According to the reports, she climbed the safety barrier to get to the bare cliff on the lookout....

After the digiFilm Y35 fiasco, one would think that nobody would ever buy anything from Yashica. A few weeks ago, it was announced that the Federal Aviation Administration no longer requires registration for personal drones. The federal appeals court in Washington D.C. decided that the FAA simply has no right to require hobbyists to register their drones and model aircraft. Well, now the FAA have are offering to de-list drone hobbyists from their system and issue refunds. Ten years ago, the name Vivian Maier wouldn’t ring a bell in anyones’ mind. Today, the name Vivian Maier is almost as well known as some of the pioneers of photography. This all changed when a box of negatives captured by the unknown street photographer were found in 2007. Since then, much fanfare has been made and, naturally, a documentary into the life of Maier has been produced.
