When Micron Technology announced they were discontinuing Lexar, one of the customers’ concerns was the availability of XQD memory cards. A recent post on Nikon Rumors caused even more stir, as they noticed all Lexar XQD cards were discontinued at B&H. Since Micron sold memory card brand, Lexar to Longsys in China, people have been wondering what’s going on. Will they still keep making those favourite Lexar products? Phase One has just announced the iXM 100MP camera for aerial imaging. It boasts Sony’s medium-format sensor which will also be used in Fuji GFX-100S and Hasselblad X1D-100c. Priced at $40,000, Phase One iXM 100MP is not going to be for the average drone photography enthusiasts. Its sensor alone packs a lot of features not available in other UAV cameras. Its frame size is 33 x 44mm. and has a resolution of a whopping 100MP....

DJI’s recent announcement was not the rumoured Mavic Mini drone that some had been expecting. Instead, it was the DJI Osmo 3, a folding handheld gimbal for smartphones. After being rumored a few days ago, the Nikon COOLPIX P950 is now officially announced. It’s another super-zoom compact camera from Nikon, and it’s kind of a crossover between the P900 and its younger brother P1000. It has the zoom range of the P900, which is smaller than the one of P1000. But on the other hand, it lets you shoot 4K video which P900 doesn’t. Back in January, Nikon updated its roadmap of 23 Z-mount lenses. The 24mm f/1.8 S was scheduled for 2019, and now it’s officially here. The wide-angle prime is designed for Nikon’s full-frame Z-mount mirrorless cameras, and it will cost just under $1,000. Nikon aims it particularly at landscape, cityscape, and architecture photographers, but those shooting environmental portraits and group shots will also benefit from this focal length.
