Even though it’s not their primary purpose, stock photography websites can be a source of hilarious images. But the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) made a stock photo gallery with the sole purpose of being funny. The gallery is filled with photos that poke fun at most common stereotypes about Canada, and it’s absolutely hilarious. CIRA is the organization in charge of Canada’s ‘.ca’ top-level domain. Like most of us, their team is aware that stock photos are often weird, boring, and “full of oddly happy people staring at screens....

The first photo of what purports to be the upcoming Panasonic S5 has leaked. The image doesn’t show much detail, and I’ve brightened it up a little above to help see things a little more clearly. The Sony A7III hasn’t been out for very long, and while an extremely impressive camera, especially for a “basic model”, it does have a couple of issues. Of course, what new camera doesn’t? So, Sony has released the first firmware update (v1.01) for the A7III to fix a couple of big issues and improve overall stability. The first issue may only apply to those outside of the USA. If your camera is set to 25fps PAL format and you’re shooting XAVC S 4K, you may see “blinking pixels” along the bottom edge of the image depending on your camera settings....

So, the accidental leak might’ve forced Godox’s hand, but now it’s official. Godox have announced the new AD600Pro portable strobe. And for the most part, things seem unchanged from the original leak, but now they’re available to pre-order in the USA, with a UK release coming soon. The power consumption of the new AD600Pro is the same as its AD600 predecessor, but there are some important differences. The first is that, unlike the AD600, it appears that the AD600Pro is only available in TTL flavour....

Today, Olympus has delivered on their teaser promise and announced their new sports & wildlife oriented Olympus OM-D E-M1X camera. From the specs and some first impressions of the camera, the E-M1x looks like it can take a lot of punishment. With a rugged magnesium alloy body and IPX-1 rated weather sealing, it certainly appears to be able to handle some pretty extreme conditions....

Just when you think memory card speed limits are being hit, along comes the SD association to prove you wrong. This time, they’re announcing the SD Express 8.0 (SD8.0) specification which comes with transfer speeds of up to 4GB/sec (2GB/sec per lane up to two lanes). It’s built on the PCIe 4.0 standard and utilises NVM Express (NVMe) storage. The first SD Express standard (SD7.0) was unveiled in 2018, offering transfer speeds of up to 985MB/sec, but it’s already been obsoleted by SD8....

Huawei P30 Pro seems like an impressive phone when it comes to its camera specs.
