I Created This Singapore Hyperlapse Using 23 000 Photos From A 3 Year Old Smartphone

Earlier this year, Kirill Neiezhmakov (the very talented timelapse/hyperlapse photographer) visited Singapore and we had the opportunity to meet up again. We visited several locations to check out the Singapore sights and sounds and some interesting places that are suitable for his personal timelapse project. Timelapse is usually done on professional gear (such as DSLR cameras, motion control systems with sliders and pan-tilt modules, etc). All these come together to create the incredible visuals you typically see online....

Imitation And Inspiration All Of Photography Is A Remix

A lot of us labor to be ‘original’ in our photography— but realize, everything in photography and life is a remix: One of the biggest benefits I had studying history was this — understanding the root and origin of a lot of ideas which I once thought were ‘original.’ For example, I remember when I started to shoot street photography, I imitated Henri Cartier-Bresson. But then a lot of people said I was ‘copying’ him — which made me feel unoriginal....

It S Totally Ok To Ask For Help With Your Work

It’s a problem that all of us face at some point or another in our creative lives. We hit a wall and we just aren’t sure what to do next. We don’t want to ask for help, because we like to think that we can solve any problem by ourselves and come up with a solution. Sometimes, though, asking for help is the best thing you can do. Simon Cade at DSLRGuide faced this problem recently when filming at a writer’s workshop in France....

Kodak S World S Largest Puzzle Contains 51 300 Pieces Measures Over 8 Metres Long And Costs 565

I haven’t put a jigsaw together since I was a kid. I remember them being a lot of fun, although they rarely had more than a couple of hundred pieces. I’m not sure if I’d ever consider doing one again, but if I did, I think it would have to be this one – assuming I can find a space large enough. This is Kodak’s “World’s Largest Puzzle“, which is a 51,300 piece jigsaw measuring 8....

While Nikon’s lens roadmap is pretty clear, their intentions for future bodies isn’t, really. But Nikon has suggested that a lower entry level full frame mirrorless camera to compete with Canon’s recently announced EOS RP would be on the way. Now it looks like we might have the first leaked photo of that body, and it appears to have a name. The Nikon Z1. While it’s entirely possible that this is fake, I don’t think it is....

Learn How To Get The Perfect Exposure Every Time

A camera’s built in meter often does a great job of making a “correct” exposure, but it’s not always what the photographer wants to capture. Despite how “smart” they’ve become, camera meters will still often get it wrong. They’ll blow out the sky to maintain the ground, or you’ll get a well exposed sky with your subject crushed to a black silhouette. This three part video series from photographer Greg Benz walks us through the process from start to finish....

Last September, the then Facebook teamed up with Ray-Ban to give us the new Ray-Ban Stories, their first pair of “smart glasses”. Well, the short answer is to understand their position and accept it....

Nasa Has Created Posters For Every Space Mission And They Re So Bad They Re Amazing

Of all NASA’s achievements over the years, this has to be up there amongst the best. It’s certainly the most hilarious. It turns out, that on every mission since the first International Space Station mission in 2000, NASA has created expedition posters. Posters that typically include a group photo of the crew. After a while, I guess they started to feel a bit boring. And maybe a bit cringy. So, they decided to take things up a notch or two....
