Photographer Hired To Shoot A Proposal It Turns Out To Be Her Own

We’ve seen some crazy, creative, and hilarious marriage proposals over the years. Of course, it’s thanks to photographers and their cameras (or at least photo booths) that we were able to see them in the first place. A man recently hired photographer Lauren Moffe to shoot a proposal. Little did she know that the client was her boyfriend and the proposal was her own! The moment was caught on camera, and while videos like this don’t usually make me get all mushy, this one’s actually quite heartwarming....

Photographing superheroes has become quite popular lately. Some use human subjects, while others use toy action figures, but this take on the superhero genre is very unique and fun. French photographer Sacha Goldberger asked some questions and, as a result, plunged some of the most iconic characters of recent memory into the 17th century with this fantastic photo series titled “Super Flemish”. The one that particularly drew me to Sacha’s work is this image....

Photographing Wildlife With 4X5 Large Format Camera And Expired Film

These days, for sports and wildlife shooters, it seems the smaller sensor cameras are often favoured for the “extra reach” with long lenses. Most wildlife shooters I know, at least up until the days of mirrorless, were shooting fast APS-C DSLRs like the Nikon D500 and Canon 7D Mark II. Some have switched to Fuji and even Micro Four Thirds mirrorless. But for some photographers, bigger is always better. And that certainly seems to be the case for Markus Hofstätter....

Photoshop Cs6 Gets Dehaze Thanks To These Handy Free Presets

I’m one of those seemingly odd people who kept hold of CS6 after Adobe switched to its new subscription model. The reasons for it aren’t important, but I know I’m not alone. Every day I see questions online from people also still using CS6. While we have the advantage of not having to keep paying for software every month, there are disadvantages. The big one being we don’t get updates any more....

Placebo Asks Fans To Stop Shooting Concerts With Their Phones

As a photographer, I’m very grateful for the existence of phone cameras. However, when I go to concerts, I can’t get over the fact that so many people watch them through their teeny tiny displays. They not only miss the show, but they block the view for all of us behind them. While I received lots of hate for my rant on this topic, I’m not the only one who detests all those phones up in the air during concerts....

Product Photos For The Upcoming Sony Zv 1 Vlogging Camera Have Leaked

The product photos for the upcoming Sony ZV-1, expected to be announced in just five days, have been leaked online by, not surprisingly, Nokishita. The new images don’t many new clues as to the camera’s capabilities, although they do offer a great view of the overall layout and the sparse button count. If the flippy out LCD wasn’t a big enough clue, this camera is obviously targeted specifically towards vloggers, with a minimal button count – presumably shifting the majority of controls over to the touchscreen (or the selfie-handle)....
