An app called Citizen is looking for people who would rush to crime scenes across several US cities and live stream. They’re offering to pay $25 per hour, and you may even be able to make it a full-time job and earn $200 to $250 per day....
Photos from distant destinations can be wonderful and inspiring. But at the same time, watching them can be a bit depressing when you think you’ll never get to visit those destinations and make such gorgeous photos. This can even cause creative block and keep you from shooting for a while. But, we must not forget that for beautiful photos you don’t need to travel far. According to recent reports, two new features are coming to WhatsApp. It looks like we’ll soon be able to share photos and videos at their “best quality.” In other words, it’s possible that WhatsApp will let us send them without compression. As a kid growing up, I used to watch Looney Tunes cartoons all the time. The Road Runner cartoons were definitely favourites, as Wile E. Coyote attempts to capture or destroy him, but never quite manages to do so. As an adult, I got to visit Arizona and see roadrunners and coyotes out in their native habitat – although no chases. Michael Thomas Bogan, assistant professor at the University of Arizona’s School of Natural Resources and the Environment, however, did manage to see a coyote chasing a roadrunner at the Santa Cruz River near Tucson, AZ....
Last week, I went out on a limb and pre-ordered the 24 megapixel Nikon Z6, which should ship on November 30. It is a bit of a flyer, but assuming my instincts are correct, the camera will replace my second body, the Nikon D750. Currently, I have two cameras, one a Nikon D810 and the other a D750. They are my first and second bodies respectively. I use the D810 almost exclusively for jobs, and the D750 serves as a second backup body in case of failure, and a personal project camera, too....

A wildlife photographer had a close encounter with a black bear when he was out photographing in Waskesiu Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. But his instincts as a photographer overtook his survival instincts and he filmed and photographed the whole encounter, even up to the point when he had to resort to using bear spray. Curtis Matwishyn says that he was out shooting photos on a trail when the bear started following him....

Fear and creativity go hand in hand. At least, I believe they should, if you want to really push yourself. But getting over that fear can be very tough. But it’s a weird kind of fear.
