KODAKCoin is the currency on this site, which users will receive upon the sale of their images. It’s an interesting move....

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has captured two new images of the planet Jupiter, in detail as we’ve never seen before. NASA says that the observations will give scientists even more clues to Jupiter’s inner life. The images use the Near-Infrared Camera which has three specialized infrared filters that showcase details of the planet. The photos are composites that clearly show Jupiter’s auroras at each polar end of the planet....

Leica has officially announced the Leica M6 reissue. It’s a relaunch of its popular M6 35mm film camera and the first new film camera that Leica has launched in over two decades. In fact, it’s been 20 years since Leica stopped making the original M6 back in 2002. It was initially launched in 1984 and Leica says they’ve handmade almost 175,000 Leica M6 cameras, serving photographers all over the world....

There have been some rumors that Leica was to discontinue several lenses. But now they have been confirmed. Seven of Leica M lenses are being discontinued, along with 13 other accessories such as lens hoods, lens caps and filter carriers. Last year, NASA’s OSIRIS-Rex probe shot a photo of asteroid Bennu from only 0.4 miles away. But NASA has just released the latest set of photos that are more close and personal. The probe touched the asteroid’s surface on Tuesday and captured a set of incredible photos from up close. Nasa’s Juno mission to Jupiter reported new findings of the turbulent atmosphere of the giant planet, including fascinating new images that show the extent of the famous red spot in 3D. The images were produced using Microwave frequencies that can piece through the dense clouds, getting a peek at the numerous vortex storms present on the planet. The most famous of these is the anti-cyclone known as the Red Spot....

Nikon has announced the development of two new Nikkor Z mount lenses. There’s a fast Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2 S mid-telephoto portrait lens and a 26mm f/2.8 pancake lens. Both lenses are designed for full-frame Nikon mirrorless cameras but they will, of course, work on APS-C bodies, too, with a narrower field of view. Beyond the focal length and apertures, not much else has been said about the new lenses yet....
