Printed and framed photos are among the best Christmas gifts in my book. For this holiday season, motivational speaker Kyle Scheele made one such gift for his dad, but with a twist. He took a family portrait his dad hates, used his Photoshop skills to “fix” it, and the result made his parents laugh to tears.
The large family portrait features Kyle, his brother, his parents, uncles, and cousins. It’s a nice family portrait, but his dad hates it. See, for some reason, the photographer made only him tilt his head. Needless to say, it looks super-weird in a group photo. However, no one knew it until the image was already printed, so it stayed that way. It has been hanging on a wall in Kyle’s home for thirty years because it means a lot to his mom, but dad still isn’t a fan of the photo. Relying on “the best gift idea he’s ever had” and his Photoshop skills, Kyle decided to finally “fix” the family portrait and make his dad happy during the holidays. With all those fancy new Photoshop tools, it’s never been easier to select and tilt someone’s head in a photo… And then do it with everyone else’s. Judging from Kyle’s mom and dad’s reaction, they really liked the “fixed” version of the photo. It’s one of those things that’s so terrible that it’s actually great. Watch the video above to see the process of making the gift, as well as reactions. For more light-hearted fun, take a look how Kyle pranked a local gas station market. And make sure to check out his work and videos on his website, YouTube and TikTok. [via PetaPixel]
