Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport has recently shown some love for photographers. They have made camera holes in several locations around its perimeter fence so that photographers can they take photos of airplanes without obstacles.
The airport notes that the project was done in collaboration with local plane-spotting group YQB Aviation. They worked together to identify the best spots for plane-spotting photographers, so the panels could be placed there. Each of the ten holes is surrounded by a metal frame to prevent scratching lenses. The panels also have a sign clarifying that the area is reserved for photographers.
I believe that setting these panels required a small effort, yet they’re such a great move from the airport officials. All ten panels have been set at ten locations around the airport, so photographers can now take their cameras and shoot away.
