The largest trade show in Japan, CP+, is being canceled yet again. The event was supposed to take place in Yokohama from 24 to 27 February 2022, but just like two shows before it – the live event was canceled due to the pandemic, but you’ll be able to tune in online.

The official announcement has been published on the CP+ website. It reads that CP+ 2022 was supposed to hold an “online hybrid event” with the Pacifico Yokohama venue, following all the precaution measures. In other words, there are some events scheduled online between 22 and 27 February, and the live show was scheduled for 24-27 February. However, the rapid expansion of the Omicron strain has made the show management change plans. “Looking at the current infection situation, it is unlikely that the number of infected people will decrease significantly by the end of February, and it will be unlikely that the event will be held safely and securely,” the announcement reads. “The psychological anxiety of the people is in a situation that cannot be wiped out.” So, it’s been decided – just like CP + 2020 and 2021, this year’s live show is off. But you get a consolation prize in the form of online shows. They are still going to run as planned, and you can access them with your registered ID and password. You can find the schedule on the CP+ website. [via News Shooter]
