The 1960s medium format Diana camera has inspired some interesting builds before. An interesting Kickstarter project brings you another Diana F+ inspired camera – this time it’s an instant camera with interchangeable lenses. The Diana Instant Square is the world’s first Instax camera with interchangeable lenses and a hot-shoe mount. And if you’re into instant cameras, looks like this one could give you plenty of creative options.
The Diana Instant Square works with Fujifilm Instax Square Film. It lets you shoot at 1/60 s and in the Bulb mode. As for the aperture, you can set it manually, or choose between three preset options for different lighting conditions: sunny, partly sunny and cloudy.
The camera comes with a set of lenses produced for the Diana F+. You can choose between a 110 mm lens, a 75 mm lens, a 20 mm fisheye lens, a 55 mm wide-angle and a 38 mm super-wide-angle lens. The 55 mm lens also comes with a special attachment to turn it into a close-up lens.
You can attach a flash to the hot-shoe mount, and you can also use the original Diana F+ flash. Additionally, you can use one of the color gel filters to add different hues to your photos. Just like with all instant cameras, this one also produces some imperfections in images. But I guess it’s a part of its charm. Here are the full specs:

If you pledge $69 or more, you’ll get a Diana Instant Square Classic Edition camera, a Flash Plug and a Diana F+ Flash Hotshoe Plug.
