Fujifilm has just announced two new lenses for its two camera systems. The first is the 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR, a versatile zoom for Fujifilm’s APS-C X-mount cameras. The Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR is designed to cover various shooting situations. It’s designed for APS-C cameras, so it offers a 24-120mm-equivalent focal length range with constant f/4 maximum aperture. When it comes to the lens’ optical design, it features three aspherical elements and one ED aspherical element. This helps to minimize aberrations and produce high sharpness and clarity. The lens also packs a quick and quiet AF system, plus a six stop-effective image stabilization system. The GF 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR is a compact and tiny prime designed for the medium format G-mount GFX system. Used with Fujifilm’s medium format cameras, it provides a 40mm-equivalent focal length. The lens features one aspherical element to help control the distortion and spherical aberrations. There’s also a linear AF motor for quick and quiet focusing performance and a manual aperture ring. Just like the new zoom lens, this one is also dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant.
