It looks like we might be getting close to an announcement for the Fujifilm X-T4 according to a report on Fuji Rumors. They say they’ve received some good information that they’ve “triple checked”, and the X-T4 is not only coming soon, but it will have in-body-image stabilisation (IBIS). Nokishita posted a screenshot showing the registration of Fujifilm cameras with the codes FF190005 and FF190004 (expected to be the X-T3 replacement) with China’s MIIT on January 8th. But Fuji Rumors says that an official announcement could come as soon as next month.

The translation for Nokishita’s tweet reads… The FF190005 is expected to be the Fujifilm X100V, and nobody quite knows yet what FF190003 will be (perhaps an X-H1 replacement?). Fujifilm suspects that the two January 8th filings are being held off until February 4th and that all three cameras will be announced at the same time. But what’s interesting here is the inclusion of IBIS. Fujifilm has said that they have been working on making their IBIS technology smaller to fit it into their non-X-H series bodies, and it seems they might have done if the rumours are true. The rumoured specs for an upcoming X-T4 include IBIS, internal 10-bit 6K60fps video, anamorphic modes, and a fully articulating flippy out LCD. As to whether or not those rumours hold true, we’ll have to wait and see. But if FF190003 does turn out to be an X-H2 (after all, the X-H1 is still listed as discontinued at B&H), then perhaps the specs are correct, but just for the wrong body? The Fujifilm X-T3 was only just announced in September 2018, so this would be a very short release cycle for the product line if we are getting an X-T4 announcement so soon.
