If you want to take professional-looking product shots, you don’t need fancy gear and a studio. As a matter of fact, you can do it for under $30 without leaving your own home. You can use both backdrops of the same color, or make one black and one white, it’s up to you. Place one on the bottom and the other behind the subject. Set everything up and shoot in a dark room, so the ambient light doesn’t interfere with the shot. Set the camera and shoot as you move the light around the subject. For photos, use a longer exposure, and play with angles and speed. I like it that you can use this technique for both product stills and videos and that you can shoot at home.
