Electronics company BenQ has released a new monitor designed for photo editors on a budget. The 24-inch 1080p SW240 display features 99% Adobe RGB coverage for accurate color reproduction.
The SW240 is the newest in BenQ’s PhotoView series after the 31.5 inch SW320 and the 27 inch SW271 & SW2700PT. It may be small, and it may not have 4k UHD or QHD resolution, but judging from the specs, it still appears to be a highly capable tool.

Since it’s a 10-bit color monitor, you wouldn’t have to worry about the weird artifacts you might encounter with a cheap display. It also has a 3D Look Up Table (LUT) which improves RGB color blending accuracy. Furthermore, it also incorporates a Color Mode HotKey that allows you to switch between AdobeRGB, sRGB, and DCI-P3 conveniently.
The SW240 may be marketed as a budget monitor, but it’s currently priced at $400.00. However, knowing that most high-performance displays cost way more than that, it could still be a worthy investment.
