Sony E Mount Wasn T Designed For Full Frame Cameras Says Leica Manager

One of the things that many people seem to have noticed about the new Nikon Z6/7 and Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless cameras is that the lens mount is huge. They look at their Sony with its relatively small E-Mount and wonder what the big deal is? Is it all just marketing hype from Nikon and Canon to sell super fast aperture lenses? Maybe not. Leica manager Stephan Schulz backs up the idea that Sony’s E Mount wasn’t designed for full frame cameras in a recent interview with Reddotforum....

Sony Resolves The Star Eater Issue In The New A7Riii

If you are an astrophotographer, then you may be familiar with the so-called “Star Eater” problem of Sony a7R II. Sony S A7S Iii Reported To Be The First Mirrorless Camera To Use Cfexpress Type A Memory Cards

Polish website Optyczne is reporting that the new Sony (we still don’t know if it’ll be called the A5 or the A6) is rumoured to be priced around $1,000 (the EOS RP is $999 body only) and would come at a significantly lower price than the Nikon Z5, which is currently listed at $1,399 body only....

Earlier this week, confirmation hearings of Jeff Sessions as US Attorney General were followed by protests. Of course, many photographers and reporters covered this even. As he said, Texas. Rep. Louie Gohmert tried to stand between his camera and the action, blocking his view....

The 1934 Chrysler That Brought Us Out Of 2020

It wasn’t that the phone hadn’t rung for an entire year. It was that the shoots were always too risky; my urge to be on set was always overruled by my commitment to ensure that making art did not lead to someone contracting COVID. Yet once the vaccine began to make things safer, I knew that it would only be a matter of time before I was behind the camera once more, and with that I wanted it to be an automotive photoshoot....

The Cosyspeed Photohiker 44 Is The Most Comfortable Photography Backpack I Ve Ever Used

I am notoriously difficult to find backpacks for, as I’ve mentioned on here before. Completely. That bag is the Cosyspeed PhotoHiker 44, which was recently launched on Kickstarter (and hasn’t quite ended yet)....
