This is all that’s being rumored for now about the improvements of the new Nikon camera. Still, I do hope they’ll improve their features further. For instance, they could make up for what they missed in the D810 and make the new camera allow 4K shooting....
At the end of the third fiscal quarter, Adobe broke the record in revenue. The financial results they reported for the Q3 of 2017 show the $1.84 billion income, which is 26% year-on-year revenue growth. Out of this sum, as much as $1.27 billion comes from Adobe’s Digital Media segment, with Creative revenue growing to $1.06 billion. Although many users aren’t happy with the subscription model, it seems that it’s been the ultimate solution for Adobe....
Adobe has announced that from next week, Adobe is adding Adobe Premiere Rush and Adobe Photoshop Express apps into the Creative Cloud Photography plan at no extra cost. Photoshop Express is a simple cut-down image editing app for iOS and Android devices. Premiere Rush is a basic video editing application available for both mobile and desktop operating systems. Photoshop Express (AKA “PS Express”) has been around for a while now and is a mobile app allowing you to make quick and easy edits to photographs....
Well, there’s a new version of Adobe Photoshop Elements, as well as Adobe Premiere Elements. The 2018 versions of both come with some rather neat upgrades. There’s also new Adobe Elements Organizer 2018, which features an “Auto-Curate” facility to help pick your best photos for you. While many have already jumped on the Photoshop & Lightroom CC package, Elements still has its place. Not everybody needs all the features of full blown Photoshop....

If you need free photos for your project, here’s some good news. Adobe Stock has just launched a collection of over 70,000 free resources. It includes not only images, but videos and vector illustrations as well. It’s worth noting that the free assets meet the same standards as the Adobe Stock paid collection. This means that they come with model and property releases, and you can download them with a commercial license....
I never perceived Goodnight Moon as creepy. Quite the opposite, actually. However, text-to-image always has some weird ideas, and so doesJoris Bax. He didn’t only use Midjourney’s AI tool to create illustrations for the famous bedtime poem. He also added a super-creepy voice and music to it, turning it into pure, distilled nightmare material. If you’re using Apple’s Photo Print Products service, there is little time left to place your orders. Apple is soon to discontinue its photo printing service, and the final orders must be placed by the end of September. Those who used Photo Print Products could print not just photos, but photo albums, books, and calendars as well. However, Apple is shutting down the service, and the macOS 10.13.6 Photos app has been notifying users that last day for orders would be 30 September 2018....
iPhone 11 was announced earlier this month, and it’s all about the camera(s). It’s aimed at mobile photographers, filmmakers, and of course – selfie-takers. The latest iPhone has slow-motion capabilities on the front camera so you can take slow-motion selfies, or as Apple calls them, “slofies.” Apple seems to like their made-up term so much, that they have applied for a US trademark. “Slofie” is nothing but a slow-motion selfie shot at 120 fps....
Aputure has today released four new LED lights in their entry-level Amaran range. Two of them, the Amaran P60c and the Amaran P60x are LED panels and the other two, the Amaran COB 60d and Amaran COB 60x are Bowens mount LEDs. As the name suggests, they’re all 60 Watt lights and can be powered by NP-F batteries on location or included AC adapter. The two Bowens mount lights are the COB 60x and COB 60d, which are bicolour and daylight balanced lights respectively....
It’s felt like a long wait since it was first shown off at IBC last year, but now it’s finally here. Aputure has now taken its flagship Light Storm 300 series COB LED lights bicolour, with the new Light Storm LS 300X. Aputure says it that it goes beyond the standard bicolour systems, though, which utilise multiple side-by-side LEDs of different Kelvin values, by incorporating a custom colour-blending element in front of the LED to turn it into a single colour-changing light source....

It promises to “reinvent stock footage,” offering up to 8K stock footage to filmmakers, unlimited downloads and use, the option of commercial use and much more. For two weeks now, there has been an ongoing scam that caused twenty people from LA to lose thousands of dollars in camera gear. A user under the name “Andy Mai” uses Facebook Marketplace and Venmo payment system to pull the scam and steal the gear. Four victims of the scam have been verified, and in total they lost $25,000. However, after two sellers shared their story, it turned out that there may be as many as 20 scammed people, with the total loss of as much as $100,000....
Since Flickr was acquired by SmugMug, I have been wondering what changes this will bring to the not-so-popular-anymore platform. And now the big changes are finally coming. Browsing through an antiques shop, I stumbled upon a Kodak slide projector with a very peculiar attachment: a large lens. This particular lens caught my eye as it was an absolute behemoth. It was heavy and had “ISCO GERMANY” engraved into it. After seeing the price of only $10, I had no choice but to bring it home with me. My intentions were realized but not well thought out; remove the lens and convert it to fit on my DSLR....
