Along with the LUMIX GX9, Panasonic has announced another camera today. It’s a compact Panasonic LUMIX ZS200 (or TZ200 outside the U.S.). Its compact 4.4″ wide body holds a 1” 20.1 MP sensor. It features a Leica lens with 15x optical zoom, covering a 24-360mm equivalent focal length range. With its portability and versatile zoom, Panasonic promotes this camera as the ideal travel companion.

Panasonic ZS200 is capable of shooting 10 fps with single-shot AF, 6 fps with continuous AF, or 30 fps at 8MP in the 4K Photo burst mode. The company promises reduced noise even at high ISO, and the ISO reaches up to 25,600 in extended mode. The camera covers a wide zoom range, from 24mm to 360mm equivalent. Although ZS200 is equipped with a high-quality Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens, it’s not very fast. The aperture ranges from f/3.3 (wide) to f/6.4 (telephoto). With Panasonic ZS200, you can shoot UHD 4K video recording at up to 30 fps. Just like the GX9, this one also features 4K Photo Mode. It uses the camera’s video capabilities to generate 8 MP pictures at 30 fps. It also features the 5-axis Hybrid O.I.S image stabilization system.
