The jury made its decision public on 19 August, coinciding with World Photography Day. Johan’s photo Cheetah with cubs brought him the title of 2022’s Absolute Winner, while Dusty Cooper won the special prize for creativity with his photo Levitate. “My photography and love for dance collide and I think my passion for both shows in my work,” Dusty commented.

The jury selected the best of the best among five categories: Architecture, Street, Pattern, Portrait, Fauna and Flora, and Landscape. The Haida brand, which collaborated with a special prize in these Black and White Photo Awards 2022, selected the George Digalakis’s Echoing Spaces as the winner of this special prize.
