Most of the time when we shoot an image, we have a pretty good idea of how we want the final result to look, even before we’ve hit the shutter. Well, the new Infinite Looks plugin for Photoshop from the folks at Infinite Tools lets us do that quickly and easily. It utilises a million LUT files to create an endless amount of different grades that you can preview with just two simple sliders.
The “Visualizer” (the name of the Infinite Looks panel dialogue) lets you sift through countless LUT files organised by colour and contrast with a couple of simple sliders. It lets you see a dozen instant previews for easy comparison, and you simply slide the sliders up and down to blend between them. Advanced algorithms even help to preserve the skin tones while you do so. As you explore through and find things you like, you can even set them up as favourites for future use and get that look again in the future – handy if you’re doing a longer-term series or want to have a consistent look for certain types of images for social media, for example. Infinite Looks is available to buy for $149 ($100 for early bird) on the Infinite Tools website.
