I always find it interesting to see (or own) different kinds of items that were inspired by photography gear. The Japanese brand TACS has announced a collection of watches that have been inspired by lenses. So, if you’re looking to buy a gift for yourself or a photographer in your life or treat yourself, this is definitely something to consider.

There are six options to choose from and they range from $210 to $550. Here are the models TACS offers and the descriptions:

Vintage Lens The price of this model is $290 and there are two color options: classic brown and rustic brown and it’s available for orders.

Automatic Vintage Lens II This model looks similar to the Vintage Lens, but it’s an upgraded version. It features a screw-down, diamond-cut crown. The bezel rotates, just like when adjusting a camera lens. For now, it’s only available for preorders, and during the preorder period will cost $440 ($459 if you want an engraving too). The regular price will be $550/$569.

Lens-M This watch is available for $210 and in three colors: Sturdy Steel, Boss Black, and Gunmetal Solid Grey.

Nato- Lens You can get the Nato Lens watch for $220 in either Olive Green or Earthy Brown.

T-Cam The T-Cam watch is available for $220 in Silver, Rose Gold, and Gold.

Color Lens You can get the Color Lens watch for $200. It comes in three colors: Flash White, Camo Green and Slate Orange.

You can find out more and see more photos on TACS website. Personally, I really like the way these watches look. But as I have a bad luck with watches (every single one I’ve ever had got broken), I’d only buy them as a gift. As far as treating myself goes, a chocolate Nikon would be just fine. : ) Oh, and if you’re more into making your own lens-inspired watch, check out this one by Alireza Rostami. It even takes photos!
