If there has been one message all of us have heard over the past few months, it’s been this: Stay at home! It’s important to repeat it and to do it in different ways, and Tony Fero and Helena Juan have found their own way. They have photoshopped people out of iconic artwork to symbolically “send them home,” which resulted in an inspiring and unique project.

Tony and Helena have made a dedicated Instagram page for their project and named it Mándalos a casa (Send them home). They used all sorts of images to send the message: from iconic paintings and photographs to album and movie covers, and even graffiti. And even though the works of art are different in many aspects, after the treatment they all send the same message: Stay at home.

The experience is turned into a sort of a mini-game thanks to Instagram albums. When you see the original image on Mándalos a casa, you’re directed to send the people from that image home. When you swipe to the next photo: they’re not there anymore. There’s also the third image that shares the message in a pretty direct and verbal way: “No, It’s Not a F*cking Joke ”#StayAtHome.”

You can contribute too. All you need to do is reach out to Tony and Helena via Instagram, where you can also see more photos from this project.
