Sports photographers face all sorts of crazy, unpredictable, and dangerous situations on the job. And recently, a photographer did a police job during a college football game. When a fan ran onto the stage, the photographer sprinted toward him and tackled them to the ground. The man tried to escape, but the photographer was persistent and kept tackling him to the floor. The entire incident was caught on camera from different angles, showing this rather weird and potentially dangerous incident.

The incident took place at Penn State’s Beaver Stadium during their annual White Out game versus Minnesota. Nittany Sports Now points out that it happened late in the fourth quarter, long after the game had already been decided 45-17 for Penn State. The fan ran into the field, showing off his skills of trespassing and running around in the middle of the game. The photographer immediately sprinted towards him, smashed into him, and tackled him to the ground.

The persistent fan managed to get up and tried to escape, losing his T-shirt in the process. But the photographer was more persistent, tackling him to the ground again – this time pulling his pants down. After this, the police finally showed up and cuffed the man. Here’s a different angle that shows just how brutal it was:

— Josh Simmons (@Joshms95) October 23, 2022 According to Nittany Sports Now, the photographer hasn’t been identified. But apparently, he’s more than devoted to his job. While he did contribute to the fan getting cuffed promptly, I don’t think it was his place to do it. It could have been dangerous for both men and someone could have been seriously hurt. Thankfully, it all ended well! [via PetaPixel]
