I’m not normally a big fan of teaser videos, but something struck me about this one because there really isn’t much indication at all as to what’s coming except that it’s possibly aimed at consumers, rather than commercial users, and it’s designed for use with a phone. The Insta360 ONE X  was only launched a few months, so they’re not replacing that. The Insta360 Nano S only came out a year ago. Surely they couldn’t be making that obsolete so soon? So what could this new Insta360 product be?

The video only shows a bunch of shocked, surprised, and smiling faces looking at phone screens. We don’t get to see what’s on that phone screen. They say that we’ve never seen our phone do this and that we need to “Look deeper”. Could this possibly be a hint to some kind of deep learning 360° AI camera? Is the fact that only Apple smartphones are shown in the video a sign of something beyond an affinity for the iPhone? Is it even a camera at all? Could it be some new 360° photo & video sharing social platform? An official announcement is expected to come on March 13th, so we don’t have to wait too long to find out. And there’s a teaser website to go along with the video, where you can sign up to be alerted as news comes out. But until then, what do you think it could be?
